By Boo Lalor - The Apollo Bay board riders held the annual ‘70’s Single Fin Classic’
last month at the epic ‘Skenes Creek’. The waves where crumbly two to three foot the same as some people’s hair styles. Old and new single fins lined up by the dozen at the full car park which was also accompanied a green Sand man which helped setting the psycadelic scene of the Skene. Afro’s, furry coats, handle bar mustache’s, skivvies was a familiar sight at the comp. And there was the sound the sound of ELO the Eagles Bowie & Dooby Brothers.
The WC & PT Music Factory had us in a time warp Mrs Single Fin Mich Barbarella Cox Serenaded the crowd and MR Single Fin Benjamin Johnny Bravo Day Showed us some fancy steps . Boy can he move .and then I think we all turned into pumpkins. WoW what a night!
