To the Apollo Bay Boardriders

A huge thank-you to all the crew from Ella. She was so surprised but absolutely rapt with the award. Thank-you very much to everyone who organised the awards. Whoever designs & makes the wave trophies does a wonderful job – they are beautifully designed & crafted.

Under normal circumstances, Ella would be emailing you all herself. However, she has just finished year 12 exams and left for Melbourne last night with 5 interviews over the next week for all her art/graphics courses that she has applied for in 2009. Our place looked seriously messy after the year 12 exams, but after preparing her art folios for Melb. Ella has turned our home into an artist’s nightmare with charcoal sketches half finished all over the house. The price of ART!

So the surfing award arriving in the middle of all this was an absolute delight. Thanks boardriders team.

Cheers
Helen

GOOD LUCK WITH THE INTERVIEWS ELLA! - ABBR’s

It is a skill development program that aims to help female surfers become more competent in the open ocean environment and has as its goal the aim to help young surfers develop strategies that will help them be safe in the ocean this summer and become better surfers.

The aim of the Play it Safe by the Water Surfing for Girls days  is to use positive female role models and the professional surf coaches from Surfing Victoria to pass on their skills and knowledge to the next generation of female surfers.
