It’s on again. The Bret Lalor inspired 70’s surf day. Once again it’s time to dig out the flares, once again we dance to ELO and once again we put to the test Brets assertion that single fins go better than thrusters … it’s going to be all time. Inspiration below.

The boys went into the Victorian Schools titles on the weekend and entered in the individual section. It was held at Torquay Point in very difficult conditions. The Point was breaking at 6-8ft and the washing through over the reef where the boys were either getting the reforms or smaller waves that hadn’t broken out the back. Big sweep, big paddle and run arounds after each wave, so it was a very physical event. Oscar won his first heat and then got knocked out in the next one, he was surfing in the U19′S! Dan also won his first heat and then got knocked out in the 16’s, Luke got a third in his heat also in the u16’s. Adam was awesome in the big conditions and was unlucky not to get thru … check out some of his waves on the clip. Darcy got through to the semis and couldn’t find a wave to advance. It was a good effort by all. We all surfed Fishos on Saturday arvo with 150 out … 3ft+ fishos is a once in a decade event. The kids had a ball.

Dan, Darcy and Adam and Luke Lalor competed in the Vic state titles at Jan Juc on the weekend.
Adam was surfing in his first State title and charged solid 4ft Juc narrowly missing out on
going through. Luke surfed through his first heat of the U16’s and into the second round. Dan made it into the Semi finals of the U16’s and was coming second to the current champ until he was pipped in the dying minute, but surfed unreal. Darc made the finals of the U13’s and came second, also
surfing really well.
